Training Overview
This two-day CPD is designed to develop your skills in raising and exploring the vital subject of sexual relationships with your psychotherapy and counselling clients.
Through a combination of teaching, discussion and group work, we will reflect on the language, anxieties and assumptions surrounding sex, focusing on why clients experience difficulties in their sexual relationships. Working with some straightforward tools and techniques, you will practice how to help clients think about the meaning of sex in their lives, and how they might improve communication when they experience problems.
The course will also increase your awareness of the most common sexual issues and dysfunctions, offering guidance to allow you to recognise when referral to another practitioner (such as a medical specialist or COSRT registered psychosexual therapist) might be most appropriate.
Like good sex, this CPD aims to be both illuminating and lots of fun!
